Naeem Khan designs with the most dignified of the fashion elite in mind. Notorious for his hand-embroidered designs and elegant separates, it’s likely that Khan’s style is reflective of his time spent watching his father and grandfather design for royalty.
The collection featured an array of colours and patterns: from florals to stripes, geometric designs and looks that let the fabric do the talking, all pieces were draped in a remarkably ornate way that only Khan is able to accomplish. The colours were vibrant, with the subtle appearance of soft lilacs and pinks.
With an alluring red-floral backdrop, Khan opened the show with a springtime mood to the tune of Ava Maria. Gowns were doused in blues, yellows and reds that were also complemented by matching headbands and exaggerated earrings. Form-fitting gowns and grandiose capes were followed by A-line dresses. The show took a more alternative tone as mock gunshots could be heard against an upbeat Ava Maria. New patterns were introduced and the show progressed at a modern, colourful pace.
